The Ground We Walk On

On Level 0 illustrator Kerry Lemon’s artworks explore the ground we walk on and the beauty of everyday flora and fauna, bringing the tranquillity of the natural environment into the Grange University Hospital.

After speaking with ecologists and wildlife specialists, Kerry depicted dandelions, brambles, daisies, bluebells, horse chestnuts and red clovers.

Grounded in research, Kerry Lemon creates site-specific work in response to diverse environments. Each piece documents intensive collaboration with specialists including plant molecular scientists, botanists, archives, collections, ecologists and historians. Kerry works nationally and internationally, and is inspired by travel and responding to local plant life, landscape and histories.
