Sanctuary in Nature
On Level 3 is illustrator Rosanna Tasker series of artworks that connect with nature, wellbeing and community. Each illustration bridges the gap between reality and fantasy to explore how there is familiarity in the nature we see around us every day, but how it can also feel otherworldly – dreamscapes where anything is possible.
The artist says: ‘I hope people spending time in the hospital will find their own stories and meanings in the artwork.’
Rosanna’s works received such a warm reception from staff at the Grange University Hospital that we have since installed another 10 illustration prints in ward A3, the early pregnancy assessment unit and in the corridor space adjacent to the emergency gynaecology assessment unit.
Ar Lefel 3 mae cyfres o weithiau celf gan y darlunydd Rosanna Tasker sy'n cysylltu â natur, llesiant a'r gymuned. Mae pob darlun yn pontio'r bwlch rhwng realiti a ffantasi gan archwilio cynefindra byd natur a welwn o'n hamgylch bob dydd, ond sut y gall hefyd deimlo'n arallfydol - byd breuddwydion lle mae unrhyw beth yn bosibl.
Meddai'r artist: 'Rwy'n gobeithio y bydd pobl sy'n treulio amser yn yr ysbyty yn dod o hyd i'w straeon a'u hystyron eu hunain yn y gwaith celf.'
Cafodd gwaith Rosanna groeso mor gynnes gan staff Ysbyty Athrofaol y Faenor nes ein bod, ers hynny, wedi gosod 10 print arall yn ward A3, yr uned asesu beichiogrwydd cynnar ac yn y coridor ger yr uned asesu gynaecoleg frys.

Working as a freelance illustrator from her Bristol studio, Rosanna Tasker creates semi-surreal scenes and narratives, with a particular focus on the magic of the natural world. Delicate lines and rich handmade paper textures are woven together to create poetic, dreamlike scenes. She works locally and internationally on editorial, publishing and branding projects.
Gan weithio fel darlunydd ar ei liwt ei hun o’i stiwdio ym Mryste, mae Rosanna Tasker yn creu golygfeydd a naratif lled-swrrealaidd, gyda ffocws penodol ar hudoliaeth y byd naturiol. Mae llinellau cain a gweadau papur cyfoethog wedi'u gwneud â llaw wedi'u plethu gyda'i gilydd i greu golygfeydd barddonol ac iddynt naws freuddwydiol. Mae'n gweithio'n lleol ac yn rhyngwladol ar brosiectau golygyddol, cyhoeddi a brandio.
