A series of artworks by illustrator and bookmaker Esther Connon were chosen by Grange University Hospital staff for the maternity department. The works appear in the pre- and postnatal wards, and in the butterfly room (a place for families of babies who have passed away or who are passing away to say farewell). Esther said: “I hope to evoke a sense of calm and beauty within the worlds I create. A space for the viewer to imagine and escape. I hope that my artwork provides some peace for those spending time in the hospital.”

Dewiswyd cyfres o weithiau celf gan y darlunydd a'r bwci Esther Connon gan staff Ysbyty Athrofaol y Faenor ar gyfer yr adran famolaeth. Mae'r gwaith yn ymddangos yn y wardiau cyn ac ôl-enedigol, ac yn yr ystafell gloÿnnod byw (lle i deuluoedd babanod a fu farw neu sy'n marw i ffarwelio â nhw). Meddai Esther: “Rwy’n gobeithio creu ymdeimlad o dawelwch a harddwch o fewn y bydoedd rwy’n eu creu. Lle i'r gwyliwr ddychmygu a dianc. Gobeithio bod fy ngwaith celf yn darparu rhywfaint o heddwch i'r rhai sy'n treulio amser yn yr ysbyty.”
